Osphos 15 ml

يعمل عقار Osphos® على مكافحة الارتشاف العظمي المفرط؛ إذ يساعد حمض الكلودرونيك (وهو من فئة البيسفوسفونات) في استعادة التوازن بين عمليتي الارتشاف وإعادة البناء في العظام المصابة. ويرتبط العقار ببلورات الهيدروكسي أباتيت الموجودة على العظم الزورقي (navicular bone)، وهي بلورات تمتصها الخلايا ناقضة العظم (osteoclasts) أثناء عملية الارتشاف؛ مما يؤدي إلى تثبيط نشاط هذه الخلايا عبر منعها من الالتصاق بسطح العظم وتحفيز موتها، وبالتالي المساعدة في الحد من فقدان المعادن.

يُعطى عقار Osphos® بجرعة واحدة عن طريق حقنة عضلية بسيطة، بحيث يتم توزيع الجرعة بالتساوي على موقعين أو ثلاثة مواقع للحقن.

Osphos® combats excessive bone resorption. The Bisphosphonate Clodronic acid helps to restore the balance between resorption and remodeling in diseased bone. It binds to hydroxyapatite crystals on the navicular bone which are taken in by the osteoclast during bone resorption. This inhibits osteoclast activity by preventing them from adhering to the bone surface and inducing osteoclast cell death and helps to reduce mineral loss.

Osphos® is administered once by simple intramuscular injection and should be evenly spread over 2 to 3 injection sites.
